Exhibitions 2019/2020

"John Midgley, by contrast, often works repeatedly from the same motif, searching for that hidden abstract quality that gives a painting its real worth.” (Eastern Daily Press)

The Book

A recent collaboration with fellow artist and lifelong friend Mike Pert saw John produce 'The Book' - a concertina-style collection of 'to and fro' original artworks which were created as a result of the pair passing a sketch book backwards and forwards between each others' studios.

The Book, as well as other new paintings by John and Mike, will be on show at the Belfry Arts Centre, Overstrand, from 20-31 January, 2020.
